The Cutera excel®V+ laser is the latest laser technology for vascular and pigmentation treatments. The excel®V+ laser safely and effectively treats the factors that age you like age spots, enlarged pores and uneven skin texture, and the dreaded unwanted spider veins.
How it works
The excel®V+ laser uses a high-power laser that is absorbed by the unwanted surface blood vessels in the skin. The laser heats those vessels causing the vein walls to collapse and seal shut. Over time, the treated vessels will no longer be visible.
The number of treatments you’ll need will depend on the size and thickness of your spider veins, though most patients will see an improvement after 1 to 2 treatments. Our highly qualified staff will discuss this with you when you come and see us for a consultation.
As for side effects
The possible side effects are few. Some patients may experience redness or swelling, others may experience some bruising. Most patients will see significant improvement of their veins within 2 to 6 weeks.
